Project X is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a user is under 18, a parent or guardian must review this policy, provide consent, and is responsible for any purchase. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
The Shot Lab shot tracker uses your device camera to count shots. This vision processing runs on your device, in your browser — the live camera feed is not streamed to us. Only the resulting numbers (attempts/makes/session totals) are saved to your account. Video is stored on our servers in exactly two cases: a clip you deliberately upload yourself, or a session clip you opt in to contribute under section 2a below.
You can choose to send us a short clip of a Shot Lab session so we can improve the accuracy of the shot tracker. This is entirely optional and switched off by default. If you never turn it on, no session video ever leaves your device.
If the athlete is under 18: this option cannot be switched on by the athlete alone. We require verifiable consent from a parent or guardian first: the athlete enters a parent/guardian email address, we email that address a plain-language explanation of exactly what would be collected, and nothing is collected unless the parent clicks "yes" in that email. A parent or guardian can withdraw consent at any time — by using the "no" link in the same email, or by contacting us — which immediately switches the option off and deletes every clip already collected for that athlete.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Project X is a community. Your display name, profile photo, level, XP, streak, crew, and public posts/comments are visible to other members and appear on leaderboards. Your email, password, and direct messages are private. Direct messages are visible only to you and the person you're messaging.
We share data only with service providers that help us operate, under agreements that limit their use of it:
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our users (especially minors).
We keep your information while your account is active. You (or a parent/guardian) can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing xcuesta@xamx.org or using in-app account deletion where available. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data except where we must retain limited records (e.g., payment/tax records) by law.
Contributed Shot Lab clips (section 2a) have their own, shorter retention: they are automatically deleted 180 days after collection, and you or your parent/guardian can delete them all at any time from Profile → Account → "Shot Lab & the AI", or by emailing us. Deleting your account also deletes them.
Passwords are hashed, data is transmitted over HTTPS, and access to member data is restricted by database-level security rules. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
If your child uses Project X, you may review their information, request corrections, request deletion, and revoke consent (which ends the account) by contacting us. You are responsible for supervising your child's use and for any subscription you purchase.
Video. We do not collect video of a member under 18 for model training unless you, the parent or guardian, have given consent through the email we send you for that specific purpose (section 2a). That consent covers only the shot-tracker improvement described there, is separate from your child's account consent, and can be withdrawn at any time — which switches the option off and deletes every clip we hold for your child. Email xcuesta@xamx.org and we will confirm what we hold, or delete it.
We may update this policy. We'll change the effective date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
